Built by an ICU nurse, for ICU nurses

Hey, I'm Eddie — the voice behind ICU Advantage on YouTube and the person who spent the last year+ putting this app together. I built it from the ground up after realizing there still isn't a single reference that has everything an ICU nurse actually needs, right there in your pocket, ready when you need it in the hospital or learning at home.

Every topic is approached the same way I've always done things on YouTube — taking complex critical care content and making it understandable, without cutting corners on the depth and detail that actually matters when you're taking care of critically ill patients.

Questions

When will the app launch?

I'm targeting late May to early June 2026. I'm in the final stretch, working through beta testing and the last round of polish. Everyone on the waitlist will get an email the moment it's live.

What platforms will it be on?

iOS and Android at launch. Both.

Will there be a free trial?

Yes — a 7-day full-access free trial. You get everything the paid version has for a full week, no feature gating. A payment method is required up front so your subscription starts seamlessly if you choose to continue. You can cancel anytime during the trial and you won't be charged.

What will it cost?

$15/month or $129/year after the free trial. The annual plan saves you ~28% vs. paying monthly.

Can I test it before launch?

Beta testing was invite-only and is now closed. The next opportunity is launch day — join the waitlist and you'll be among the first to know.

Will it work offline?

Yes. The app comes with all of its content when you download it — you can start using it right away, even with no signal. New content and updates are added automatically in the background whenever you're connected. Perfect for those corners of the hospital where the WiFi is spotty.

What content does it cover?

ICU and critical care nursing — hemodynamics, ventilator management, common ICU drips and medications, lab value interpretation, clinical calculators, rating scales, and organ-system-specific content across cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, renal, GI, endocrine, trauma, sepsis, and obstetric emergencies. Real clinical depth, not just quick summaries.

Is content kept current?

Yes. Content is updated over-the-air as guidelines evolve and as I continue to expand the library — you don't have to wait for app store updates to see new topics or revisions.

Who's behind this?

I'm Eddie Watson, RN, the creator behind ICU Advantage on YouTube. I've spent years breaking down complex critical care topics for nurses and healthcare professionals, and this app is a natural extension of that mission — taking everything I've learned and putting it in your pocket.
